I'm Mili Fay and I'm a recovering perfectionist. I love illustration and portraiture. I'm a huge fan of fantasy 🦄, and my greatest inspirations are Monet, Walt Disney Classics, Drew Struzan, Maria Pascual, Stephen Silver, Peter De Seve, and Claire Wendling.

I trained as a classical animator at Sheridan College (2005), then decided to continue as a portrait painter (I sold my first portrait at 13) and a freelance illustrator/publisher when animation went digital. 😫
In 2011 I created Mili Fay Art, because I have this idea that I can save the world with art projects. 🤓 Now, I'm mainly writing and illustrating my own stories. I like to create a variety of art and I choose my style and tools based on the project. I love traditional work, but since getting a Cintiq Companion I'm beginning to enjoy digital painting. 😱 I love drawing characters. Do not expect to see architecture and machines... unless they are necessary to the character's story.
I'm currently working on an illustrated fantasy series Warriors of Virtue, about: a reluctant princess, her cousin, and sister who join with elemental spirits to prevent a war with the dragon people; and a hermit dragon-prince who is forced to rejoin Ardanian society and reevaluate his convictions.

❤️ THANK YOU ❤️ for all the Favourites, Llamas, etc. Sadly, I'm too busy to respond to all your generous gifts individually. However, if you leave a comment or send me a question I will try to answer it ASAP. Sometimes, I'm not on DA for weeks, so if you need to reach me the best way is through Facebook (Mili Fay Art not my personal page) and Instagram (@mili.fay.art).
My commission rate is US$25-40/h (it depends on the ownership rights), portraits are US$40/h and are private for all my customers (the ones you see in my portfolio were painted as gifts). Feel free to query me. You may be lucky to find me between projects.
